It's been quit some time since this portion of the website has been updated, due to all the events going on, but what a year it has been!
The year started off with constant rehearsals for "Grandma Sylvia's Funeral." Throughout the Months of february and March Steve played Gary Grossman, who tried to keep his disfunctional family and friends from killing each other at a time of grievance.
The show included most of, if not all of Misplaced Comedy's players: Bob Shultz as the ever so helpful "Marky," Loren Evans played "Sky-Boy," Bryan Tupper played "Vlad," Melissa Holmes played Steve's brother who recently had a sex change... And Newcomer Linda Cleet played "Liza." Linda then joined the rest of the crew of Misplaced Comedy during this time as Steve & Bob started writing for their 2 new CD releases: "Absurd Sensationalism," and "Misplaced Holidays."
The Misplaced Comedy Website took on an entirely new look in 2004, as Bob (now the webmaster) and steve created an even more interractive approach involving an updated Forum for people to log in and chat, New merchandise, as well as Video Streaming. Of course, the MP3's were still made available, but no longer with MP3.com.
After several months of writing, recording, and producing - Misplaced Comedy released the 2 cd's in October, with the single "Swift Boats" topping out at #4 on the comedy charts. All in all, 10 of the parodies made it to the Top 40 on the comedy charts, as well as rejuvenated several of their older hits like: "The Bin Laden Banana Boat Song" & "Friends in Blown Up Places."
Misplaced Comedy was again on the radio with an episode of "The Elderly Superfolkes" on The Dr. Demento Show in May, as well as on dozens of internet radio stations.
With all this work, they are continuing their efforts in creating more characters for their live show as well as starting to produce more videos for their upcoming DVD, which will hopefully be released at the end of 2005.
